It's fricking hot, dude. It's easier to carry OWB with an untucked shirt, too. Dallas is a special snowflake of keeping up with the Joneses, but you sound like you have a real chip on your shoulder, probably because you're not as successful as you envisioned yourself being.

How do you know everyone’s reasons for dressing nice?

Why do you assume your family didn’t dress nice for materialistic reasons but everyone else is?

“The brands” have nothing to do with what I am talking about.

This just shows how far things have fallen in my state, I guess, could I don’t give a shite about brands. Most people wear Walmart graphic tees.

Lot of people tend to dress up more for church.

They are not materialistic people, it was just how everybody dressed back in those days. Look up old pictures of your city.

I don’t care if you tuck in your shirt or not.

Collared shirt and pants, non running shoes sometimes, pretty lenient, as it is very hot down here.

I wear $120 collared shirts from golf courses that cost $500 to play sometimes, but I often wear them with Peter millar sneakers. Am I materialistic or not?

Work from home culture has absolutely ruined people’s respect for others. Dressing nice is more about respecting the people around you and the place you are visiting.

Work from home culture is 100% to blame for today’s sloppy, self centered society.

I don’t think you can tell how materialistic somebody is from what they are wearing. It depends on your attitude.

I am not materialistic but I like to dress nice nonetheless. It shows that you have respect for those around you.

It’s so depressing when you look at old photos and see how nicely people used to dress and then go out into the real world and look around

I never said they are dressing nice because they are materialistic. There are certainly materialistic people that don’t dress nice.

I just want to live around people that aren’t materialistic and dress nice. I really offended you didn’t I?

Who cares what other people wear?

They’re probably balls deep in credit card debt with their birkin bag and fancy designer clothes

It means nothing in todays society

My point can be illustrated in this picture I think. You have the ladies in the front dressed nice by my standards. Maybe yall would say they are not, but by my standards this is very good.

And then you have a dude in a t shirt and flops. This is the most important cultural event of our city. You would think people can show a little respect. And it’s April/may, not even full on summer yet.

If you dress like arse it shows you don’t have any respect for the place you are going or the people around you. If that doesn’t bother you then OK. It should though.
