But I still think my earlier question is a more interesting scenario. 1 male silverback vs a team of 5 NFL lineman+Brock Lesnar+Deontay Wilder in a death match. Is that enough man power?

Reading the Mike Tyson thread and whole true Mike would've got crushed by a gorilla there were people in the thread saying humans couldn't even beat a chimp. Seriously? Any adult Male human with any martial arts training would frick a chimp up.

You first champ.

think it’s crazy to think 1 male human would kill 1 male chimp head up but it’s not because of strength. It would be because of biting and blood loss.
they've already shown a clip of a chimp wrestling with an old 150 pound man and the guy walking away with a few scrapes and pretty nasty cuts but nothing closeto life threatening. I'm telling you man if someone who Is athletic, has good size, and knows martial arts jumps on a chimp it ain't ending well for the creature that is 4 feet tall and weighs a buck 20. That's science.

I don’t think it is as far fetched as some do but it would take the right scenario being a huge male like a nfl lineman level strength and it would have to start well

The real question is how much would you guys pay to watch Cormier fight a beast of a chimpanzee?

I'd put in $200.

Start off with a middle sized chimp say 90 lbs as a warm up lol. Then let’s see how it goes

That's the exact opposite of science. It's your opinion.

Throw in the mountain from game of thrones and....mayyyybe?? It would be really hard for me to bet against a silver back. But then again if you just encircle him anand false charge him a bunch (kind of the way bay dogs do with hogs) you mihjy could tire him out before he jumped on someone. Humans do have 1 great trait and that's endurance. We have way more endurance than almost any other creature on earth

I would like to think 6 elite athletes in the 320 lbs range and the boxing heavyweight champ could beat 1 gorilla but those are some bad dudes

Humans are very impressive physical beings. It’s hilarious how underrated guys like RB10 have made us in his mythical world

He basically had us at extinction

The baddest man on Earth would get slaughtered in under 20 seconds by an average gorilla.

It would be like a 4 year old trying to fight a grown man.

ETA:

Also a chimp would rip you apart.

but muh Cormier and Mountain from Thrones...

Without the intellect to craft and use weapons humans would have gone extinct a long time ago. This is pretty much common knowledge. The entire premise of this thread is a bare handed human against a wild animal.

Color me shocked that you don't know that though.

That is actually the opposite of common knowledge

Humans were doing just fine before any documented weapon use

I’m not sure some posters realize chimps and gorillas are different species

Please. Do continue to tell us how human intellect isn't what put us at the top of the food chain.

It's riveting idiocy.

Humans were the only species on the planet capable of seeing a stick or rock and making use of it as a tool. Humans have been utilizing tools since they stood upright.

You really are special.
