Name one then. What is one beach you have been to with a better sand/water combination than Destin?

Compare the sand and water (especially the pure amount of it) of empty 30a and empty bondi

The quality of sand at 30anis clearly better. It’s also a massive beach compared to basically a small cove

Which beaches did you see muddy water? Maybe I’ve been lucky but I’ve yet to see any on Maui and I’ve visited several times and I’ve been to a lot of beaches.

Yeah, I haven't encountered muddy water, but I've only been to Oahu and Kauai. The Oahu beaches were much nicer than Kauai.

Sand is almost exactly the same, in fact, I would say Bondi is even a little less pebbly than Florida. And I’ve actually been to both. I would say no advantage either way.

If you’d actually been, you’d know that Bondi is one of several beaches on the Bondi to Coogee trail so there are multiple beaches right in that area. Not sure how that’s even relevant though. Water quality im giving to Bondi easily. Cooler and WAY more clear

He specifically mentioned Maui in a previous post. I’m curious.

Destin is clearly more white. Come on man

The sugar sand at Destin is unmatched

You used a filtered photo

I’ve stepped foot on both. Destin may be a bit more white but quality is about the same. As I said, Bondi has softer sand with less pebbles. Both are excellent sand quality. Water is better at Bondi, surroundings are better an Bondi, weather is better at Bondi, people are better at Bondi.

No, I didn’t

Unfiltered photos from both beaches, again

Destin

Bondi

And I’m not sure you have ever been to Destin if you describe the sand as “pebbly”. It’s such thick powder it’s an absolutely truck to walk through

Wailea Beach, ulua beach, polo, poolenalena were...palauea beach was a little and the bottom was

pretty much most of the beaches in maalaea bay were from the east end all the way west until you get to actual maalaea beach.

now when you get to the more western side of the southern part of island around kaanapali it wasnt. the resorts in Napili and kapalua bay beaches had really pretty water too after that though it gets really rocky all the way along the western side of island pretty much after oneloa.

the beaches around mamas fish house were cool and it was awesome seeing the turtles bu the beaches were really really small and rocky AF. Baldwin down the street had pretty good water but it was rough AF whole time we were there.

Probably not the best description. As I’ve said, now for the at least third time, the sand as far as quality is the same.

Bondi is not yellow like that in person. I’ve actually fricking been there. You’d be losing your mind if the tables were turned here.

Bondi is better, that’s ok. Destin is fine, it’s mostly ruined by the people, both quantity and quality. Water can be hit or miss too

there is literally zero pebbles in the sand in destin and along 30a.

I can literally look at 1000s of photos of bondi beadh. It’s a golden sand

30a is a sugar sand

quote:

Bondi Beach is known for its golden sand. While some descriptions might also mention the beach as having "soft white sand", the dominant characteristic and the one most widely recognized is the golden hue of the sand

Yes, one side of the beach is typically extremely calm. I did open water swimming there. The other side is pretty rough but is great surfing. Adjacent on one side is tide pools that are rock bottom and the water is crystal clear and the other side is the iceberg pool that is a naturally fed salt water Olympic lap pool

i havent been to bondi so i cant say. but of the beaches i have been too, the 30a sand is the best imo.

hawaii was smoother, more silty i guess you could describe it as. 100% not nearly as fluffy

Caribbean is great but lot more pebbles and just rougher and not nearly as thick. similar though overall

atlantic, mexico and pacific...sand...yea no comparison.
