From reading your post. You should NEVER be in the left lane. EVER. Stay in the right lane. Go the exact speed limit. Quit enforcing (we all know that’s what you’re doing), and drive in the right lane only. The one created for you.

It's impossible to go the speed limit in the right lane. It's possible, but very rude, in the left lane. So I switch lanes a lot.
My question is, why do I have to do this? Why is a certain really specific demographic stuck on 80+ mph?

It doesn’t matter. What matters is it’s the passing lane. And you have no right or responsibility to enforce the speed limit.
Most people follow the law and move over for the 80 mph trucks. Why? It’s the passing lane. Not my job to know why they’re passing. Let them get a ticket down the road if they’re traveling too fast.
Move right. Suffer, so everyone else on the interstate doesn’t have to suffer behind you in the passing lane going 75 MPH. Put 95% of society above your quest to maintain 75. It’s that simple.

That's what I am doing there: passing slow people. Once I get past them, I get into the right lane, until I encounter another slow vehicle.
I think this is how most people drive. There are small minorities of people who want to drive really fast, and really slow.
The slow people aren't really interesting to me. Generally, it's clear why they're slow.
The F-150 speed demons are interesting to me. I don't get them. That's why I asked.
