Why do paretnts do Heroin while in A car with KIds....

I just don't get this... Whats the attraction about being in your car WITH YOUR KIDS to shoot up???? Or to shoot up at anytime really.... Being an addict is one thing... Putting your kids in danger is another.........

On why,..all I imagine are dads from the 50s and 60s going on family trips. Having to listen to kids for hours.

They are addicts. No one is doing heroin for fun with their kids around. And the #1 priority of an addict is to get their next hit.. If the kids are around, it doesn't matter to them, they need that fix.
