I know you didn't answer the question. Deflect per usual.

You seem to take everything to extremes. It's just being stated that people with high incomes are likely to end up in financial trouble if their spending keeps pace with increases in income. You'll find this with oilfield baws or attorneys.
Fair enough. I agree with this. Maybe just a misunderstanding on my part.

I'm more high-maintenance than she. And she has her own money to address her maintenance.

Dumbest poster on the board. Remember to look both ways to cross the street. When mommy holds your hand she won't let you forget.

My vehicle has 166,000 miles on it and looks and runs great. Not a single dome light out.

There’s no redeeming qualities to buying gaudy diamonds and fancy cars other than showing off.
The fact that you can't see just how subjective this statement is really disqualifies you from making any other arguments.
If you grow up with an obsession for cars, and the motivation and reason you work extra hard is so you can get that great car you've always dreamed of, that's probably considered a redeeming quality. That's what drives you, that's what makes you contribute more to society, that's what makes you happy rather than pissed at the world the one to two hours a day you spend in your car. Your life is better and the life of those around you is better because you've got that vehicle you always wanted. Doesn't matter if that car happens to be a 20k classic, 40k truck or an 80k BMW.
Tons of people hate cooking and eat out every meal. That probably costs more per month than a $30k car note. Get mad at them.

I'd say that their "overspending" actually helps more people than it supposedly hurts by dumping more money into the economy.
When they economy turns, the bottom falls out of the market and their property is sold for pennies on the dollar, it helps the people that built up cash and stayed out of debt.
