Because the hair that they have left, doesn't look good or they don't like the style. Not that it should matter to you.

OK, at what point below would you start shaving your head?
I'm about a 4.5 and I buzz mine with a 1.5 guard. To me it looks better than desperately trying to clink to the last few strands.

Probably because it looks better than the comb over, or half moon, huge bald spot, or hair island.
Ive long said that if my hair starts to go too bad, it’s coming off. I’m not fighting it. Bald is the new sexy anyway. Just embrace it.

If you're a 4.5, you need to stop with the 1.5 guard and go with a full shave.

I decided to keep my shaved with a no guard for 3 reasons. 1. my hair was thinning
2. my head breaks out when my hair gets longer
3. I look better with a shaved head

I choose to keep my head shaved at a #2. I've got a shapely head, though. I feel bad for the guys with a fricked up dome.
