Why do I sneeze when wearing a mask?

My sister gave me a mask that she made. I went to the grocery, so decided to wear the mask. After wearing it for 5 minutes or so, I started to repeatedly sneeze. I took it off and stopped sneezing while I finished grocery shopping. When I got home I washed the mask with soap and hot water and let dry completely. Out the mask on again and started to sneeze after a few minutes. Thinking I might be allergic to the type of fabric the mask was made of, I put on a N95 mask I had that was still in its unopened plastic bag, so it was sterile. Started sneezing again after a few minutes. I don't have allergies and don't usually sneeze a lot.
What's the reason why wearing a mask makes me start snedzing?

This mask sneezing has been noted in AIDS patients, but usually that starts with a certain fullness and pounding in the rectum.
