Because
1)some people know how to relax in downtime....
2)they don't worry what other grown men think
3)in typical OT fashion, millionaires have alot of time on there hands.

IOW, be a good worker bee, reproduce, and provide for your queen.

I’m not arguing in favor of video games, but is that really what life is about? Is it the sum total of our existence?

Hello. My name is GoCrazyAuburn, and I’m a grown man that plays video games. I play with lots of my friends. I have a steady, well paying job, a long term gf who also plays video games with me, have gotten back in good shape and lost 35 lbs over the last year and a month down to 175. I am routinely out and around town at concerts and breweries. This thread has made me realize that I have a problem and video games are ruining my life. Clearly, I need to stop playing them since I’m an adult, so I can have a productive life.

because they want to?

why do you care how other people spend their time?

As long as they aren't neglecting their lives then who gives a crap.

That was very brave of you to admit. At least now you can move forward with improving your life without video games.

one of the guys I manage is 42 years old and has 4 kinds under 15.
he walks in here three times a week looking like death because he stays up till 3am playing video games.
he performs well and is a good stand up guy. As his boss I don't have any problems but it does seem like a rough life.

I'm a middle aged man and video game junkie. At this point I'm closer to the age where I'll water my front garden without pants than the acceptable age to be a gamer. Can't wait till I can do both.

Maybe late 20’s it may be a time waster, but 22?? You sound like a real jackass.

I went through a phase when i was younger and played one of the NFL video games a lot on my 1st computer. Now, I don’t own a single video game on any of my devices. I have enough vices, thankfully video games ain’t one of them.

People (well people wanting to troll), take note of this thread. This is how you troll.

Drop a thread like this and disappear. Six pages, 300 downvotes, and not one response from OP.

Why do grown men hunt? Follow sports? Fix up old cars? It's a hobby....

I played them when I was single and my first couple of months of marriage. But I could not play in moderation. It was nothing for me to sit down and play 4 hours straight. I quickly realized that I can no longer do this. Being married takes away a lot of your free time. I had too many hobbies anyway: fishing, hunting, camping, hiking, watching football, coed softball, and the gym. So I dropped video games completely and focused my attention elsewhere.
