A man who regularly plays video gamescan never be a real man

Just another mindless activity like most people choose in their spare time. Can’t say whether it holds back anyone that would do anything of learning value with that leisure time otherwise though if they are as low functioning to hold interest in video games for any extended period of time

The subject is grown men. It says it in the title. Not many people are going to argue kids spending too much time playing video games is bad for them.

we used to during the summer play baseball games till it got dark in yards in my neighborhood, or go swimming in my pool for hours, or go ride around the neighborhoods on bikes all day. You don’t see that hardly at all now.
this thread is about GROWN MEN playing video games
how many groups of grown men did u see riding bikes around the neighborhood all day and swimming in the pool or playing baseball 15 years ago?

Not everyone cares about kids.

Seems like any baw that’s over 22 playing video games is a loser unless they’re single
And any man over the age of 20 that says "baw" is a fricking idiot.
See how fun generalizations are?
So by your logic, a 22 year old kid with a girlfriend is a loser if he plays video games. Yet, a 22 year old kid without a girlfriend is okay.
Jesus Christ. Some of you.
What about females? Hell, my wife, whom is in her forties, plays video games with my nieces and nephews.

I play halo 5, sometimes with my boys, sometimes alone. I've noticed it's my go to mind clearing exercise. When I'm stressed out at night, I bury myself I a book, a game, or something to keep me from just turning to alcohol.
Basically, it's good stress relief to me..like many other things

not a lot of people are doing this on purpose in the state of turmoil the world is in right now
and video games provide just as much value as reading a book. there are games like pillars of eternity that are the next evolution of books

Also, for the people saying adults playing video games is weird, do you realize how many people view posting on a message board as a huge waste of time and pretty strange in its own right?

I occasionally play forza on an outdoor projector setup in the side yard with a massive surround sound system hooked to it
It's fun as shite. Especially if people are over and there has been a bit of drinking.
Also, PubG at full volume outside is pretty legit as well.

You’re right, went off on a tangent there, my bad.

Shouldn’t they be starting a family, working to provide for their family, or at least reading books or something that provides value to their life? Seems like any baw that’s over 22 playing video games is a loser unless they’re single
Not as bad as spending your weekends drinking beer and watching football

How is playing video games any different than posting here? Both are entertainment.

I’m not anti video games. I just don’t think it’s acceptable for that to be one’s primary form of entertainment/leisure.
I played some Halo and FIFA back in school, but for whatever reason I’ve never really gotten into video games. I’ll play every once in awhile if a game looks cool but I’ll inevitably lose interest after about an hour. I’ve gone months/years(?) without playing.
Forza is probably the only game I’ve gotten into in awhile because I like cars. My autism would kick in though and I’d end up looking at car specs and building spreadsheets to compare vehicles. I didn’t actually race the cars all that much.

I sold my Xbox 360 5 years ago after NCAA Football was discontinued and I don't miss it, but who really cares what another grown man does with his personal time as long as he isn't diddling kids?

I’m 33, married, two kids, and make a good living. Also play video games. Suck it
