{subtle brag}

My Amex Platinum card comes with numbers, etc. etched into the card so nothing is raised and can't wear out.

AMEX Platinum doesn’t have raised numbers-or any numbers-on the front of the card.

This is the weakest most pathetic simp thread ever. I know it bothers this guy who started it. You know he “sees” other cards. His wife’s boyfriend probably has one with out the raised numbers.

If you see my post about fingerprints you'll come to understand why I actually miss embossed numbers on my 2 cards. Without fingerprints it's hard for me to slide a card out of the tight slots of my wallet unless it's embossed. (I also have to be careful with sweaty glasses of liquid/bottles or they may slip out of fingers easily.)

My cards also have the number printed on the back of the card, exp date, and security code too.

That’s actually foil “tipping” that’s applied during the embossing process.

Retail stores used to also get booklets of stolen credit card numbers periodically. If the authorization system was down or the POS equipment wasn’t working right, you’d have to flip through this book with thousands of credit card numbers to check if someone was trying to use a stolen one.

Its funny you say that because I received a new credit card in the mail a month ago and one of the numbers was already faded. I was confused to say the least.

I see you haven’t been to K-mart lately.

I enjoy the blue light special on RCA black and white tv on sale, k-tel 8-track, and K-Gro products for the garden.

I might hold up the line and write a check.
