I lived in the Rio Grande Valley for about a year (Harlingen), had family in McAllen and my uncle had a condo in South Padre. Even though I love the area and its culture, it is just a fkn' boring place to be.

South Florida is a different story.

They put all 50 states in a hat and they said whichever two they pick first would be where they would have spring training. Lucky for them the two states they picked had weather suitable for baseball in March.
