Haiti had a lot to do with it.
Louisiana was a support colony to Haiti who was the real money maker.
Plus Louisiana had more slaves and Napoleon figured another uprising was coming.
Plus he knew he could work out trade and lastly he just needed the money.
The Haiti thing is controversial and people with no grasp of history dismiss it in kind. Waiting for Dan Carlin to say it so they believe it. Lol
