No one would even give a glance to 99.9% of these people with colored hair because they are unattractive/over weight. It’s done simply for a bit of attention and they don’t care if it is negatIve.

I'm on a drilling rig in the middle of the GoM.

When I was fresh out of high school working derricks on an offshore rig, I had a company man try to run me off because of ear piercings. Fast forward a few years and I”m fresh out of college working as an engineer on a deepwater rig with the same company man. I was doing pore pressure calculations for him and I was showing that we were under balanced. Went in and told him but he gave me shite and didn’t want to listen. Told the guy I’m going home in the morning so you do what you want with my recommendation. Woke up the next morning and they’re on the choke. They ended up having to weight up to exactly the mud weight I told them was needed. I walk into the galley and old hard arse company man is sitting by himself for breakfast like usual. Calls me over to have breakfast with him and tells me “boy you fricked up real good”. I tell him “yep, I think you should run my arse off”. Old hard arse “nope you’re staying your arse right here until you get it right”.

Old hard arse requested me on every big project he was on until I left the GOM.

It’s a cheap and easy way to look like an individual while doing what everyone else is doing lmao

I think it's just, Peter Pan Syndrome. It's normal for kids to experiment with different hairstyles or fashion choices. It's weird to see adults regressing (or having never progressed from adolescence.)

Delayed maturity is a result of mollycoddling and helicopter parenting. I hear all the time, "They only get one childhood." While true: It appears that these people take that to mean they should never grow up.

Great story. My co-man is one of the last of his generation of hard arse dinosaurs left in the gulf. I love working for him. I have several very similar story as yours.

You and I probably know or have worked with each other.

It’s very possible but at this stage I’ve spent more time overseas than I did in the GOM which makes me a little sad because I loved my time offshore. When I was there I was tied up mostly with Shell and CVX projects.

Ugly people need bright colors. Lots of makeup and hair coloring.

Which now, ironically, signals that you are on the same teams as the WEF, Open Society, open society foundation, gates foundation, etc., etc.

I don’t care, but you better believe if someone strolls in for an interview with colored hair or tattoos, it’s a red flag. Let’s me know they are unstable.

Tats, gender, weight.

All this affirmation will end up creating a massive bank of depression in a decade or less.

It's become a good identifier for who to avoid.

Like this congresswoman. She's so fricking stupid and lazy, she thought she was going to embarrass an FBI whistleblower over a tweet from an account that wasn't his. When he said it wasn't his account, she still pushed him to answer questions as if it was his.

People can color themselves however they want. People's hair color is 1 thing that really doesn't effect anyone else.

I rarely see this and when I do it's usually some gross person at a casual restaurant or duvics. It's definitely not 'in' around here

Wrong. It’s political virtue signaling to show they’re “allies”
