Dallas is the NYC of Texas. Lots of money to be made in Dallas.
People want to live in Texas but have the most big city experience so they choose Dallas.

and no not every dallas suburb is full of indians. southlake is only 16% asian and that include all. Flower mound is only 14%
could give you a million reasons
as far as atlanta vs houston crime...they are comparable. I also feel safer in houston and maybe thats because of familiarity, i dunno.

On the other hand not everybody wants to live in a big city.
There aren’t many north shore like places in Texas that aren’t attached to huge metros. The smallest is Alamo heights in San Antonio. Which is still a big city compared to Nola
