Good Ole baws are dying out.

Austin has been liberal for years, which affects the text books - public schools are pretty good in Texas - so the indoctrination starts early

The illegals’ kids are citizens and they vote for people who help the illegals.

When I was a kid, there was a trend for a while in the Rio Grande Valley to be Republican bc it meant you were more American (or Anglo) - but that didn’t seem to last long. Not when the Dems help your tía and give you free stuff.

I get it, just is silly. You have literally a few hands in the middle of a field assembling modules, miles away from the airport (actual terminal/parking/etc) who can get run off for not masking up.

Just silly silly. It looks very ridiculous.

I agree it’s silly. Blame the President that Texas pretty much came close to giving all their electoral votes to

Hopefully you see how absurd having to say this is.

I didn’t argue with her. I actually gave her a nice tip for providing such a nice gesture which she didn’t have to do

I hate ending a sentence with "do", it feels like a preposition but is not one.

It was about 50-50 in Buc-ee's today and plenty of young people still masked up.

So what. I do t believe in the mask but it’s their right to do so. Does it harm you? Not really. Let it be.

I’m in Texas and about 50/50. If I’m going into the the mall, I’ll wear a mask. Gas station/Home Depot/ , not usually. I went into a Just4men yesterday for a haircut without a mask amd they acted like I walked in with an AK-47. Immediately jumped my shite about it. So, I went got a mask and came back in and all was fine. I’m not getting in a confrontation about it but I don’t give a rats arse about wearing one if they don’t make me. 1 year in, and I’ve done everything I’ve wanted to do and still no Covid, including intimacy with a few women I didn’t really know very long. I don’t know what else ‘high risk’ I could other than lick random homeless people.

Yeah check my post history. I was against mask mandates. I was against mandatory shut downs.

I just don’t understand why another grown arse man cares if another grown man wears a mask.

Find some real shite to care about.

Masks are actually pretty great ways to go on about your day and not be roped into conversations with random people

Some stores still require it despite Texas lifting mandate.

There’s some science alright, psychological science.

When you train a dog to come, sit, and stay with treats as a motivator, why is it that after they’re trained they still come, sit and stay without a treat?

Training right? Well, we’ve been trained with fear as a motivator.

From hence forth there will always be people who only a year ago never thought of masking up, will be weirded out with not wearing a mask, shaking hands, and socializing. The thought was introduced, the fear pumped in their head, and now they’re forever fearful.

I hate mask mandates but I also hate the fact that I'm videoed dozens or hundreds of times a day in the age of facial recognition software.

Yep. But baws on here are making threads saying “Texas feels normal”

Truth is there is no regional identity anymore in America. Big city people from Houston, to New Orleans, to New York, to San Fran are all the same now, and your rural folks in upstate New York, northern cal, and south la all have a lot in common

It’s simply rural vs urban
