The part you’re missing is that you’re calling a guy insecure for an interaction that he didn’t even know happened.

She turned you down, not him. She used him as an excuse and you believed it.

I haven’t read the whole thread but y’all are doing it wrong. I have had zero worries in my 22 years of marriage about her having lunch with another dude. She knows she only has one chance to mess around and when I find out she is gone. Simple as that.

Exactly.

This board is full of trailer trash yahoos who are terrified that someone is going to steal their 400lb wife.

Sad.

She’s seen the blue square on your house and wanted to be more respectful about saying no to lunch.

I don’t think you realize how sad and pathetic this point of view is.

So many insecure husbands out there.

I have a girlfriend.
I have zero interest romantically with this old neighbor chick.
She was all giddy and trying to chat me up and I had to be in a meeting in 5 minutes, I had zero time for chit chat.

Instead of saying "f off, I don't have time to talk" I merely offered to grab lunch sometime to basically finish the conversation and not be rude.

I didn't even want to.
I was just being polite.

If you can't trust your wife to have lunch with a childhood friend without blowing him then you either know that your wife is a whore, or you have an inferiority complex, probably because you know that you don't measure up and you are afraid that she is looking for someone that does.

I can't imagine going through life so weak and insecure.

First rule of getting out of a hole is to stop digging.

You are making yourself look more and more like a creepy a-hole with every reply.

Why is it so hard for you to admit that maybe you handled the situation clumsily and by accident gave her the impression you were hitting on her?

You don't even know the meaning of a "date."
You're not married, so you do not even know the meaning of a covenant relationship.

You are the one, actually, who is sad and pathetic.

If you were a caller on Loveline, this is the point where Dr. Drew would say the following:
quote:

The only thing that matters is that she doesn’t want to spend time with you. It’s your responsibility to respect that and move on.
This is a nothingberder, and I think you’re trying to make drama out of it for excitement.

You asked her on a date. That’s what it looks like. She said she has a husband. Perhaps she was just being polite and that was her way of turning you down.

You acting like it’s normal for a married woman to agree to a date with some guy she bumped into. Give it up.

Most don't have to post on the OT when they actually talk to a female, like you do.

I get it, its a first for you.. But its not unusual for most of us.

Well, gotta get back to work.

I know most of you trailer trash don't have jobs and are on welfare.

You better go check on your tatted up, chain smoking, 400lb wife and make sure she isn't having lunch with an old friend.

I hope you’ve learned something. I recommend focusing on LouisianaLady’s content in the thread. Sounds like it might be in order for you to take a woman’s point of view more seriously here and there going forward. Have a great day.

You asked her on a date and she said her husband wouldn’t like that. What’s confusing here? Lol

Y'all are all a bunch of insecure SOBs. I would have said yes and told my husband all about it. He would have been fine with it. Men are such idiots!
