You own every decision by every person that you have ever voted for

this is simply a demonization tactic

Absolutely nothing.

Exactly, but you're still replying.

So it doesn't matter if someone roots for cities to burn, but the OP is still questioning it and asking why do that, just like you're replying to my posts. Same thing. Both don't matter in the grand scheme, both still happening.

That’s weird Posters call me that all the time

No but lots of laughs on here and somewhat can relieve stress as long as you don’t take other posters too seriously

That board is insane but become much worse, honestly, started getting bad even prior to the election

Nobody should be rooting for that. Idiots shouldn’t be destroying cities either

Everyone is asking for it unless they are under 18.

There are no innocent people unless you can't vote. Inaction is still a choice that people make.

Life isn't fair. I very much dislike how the country is going in a liberal fashion. It is horrific people keep voting for this knowing it will only get worse if they keep it up. But now thereis no stopping it either. Horrors are coming. It is inevitable.

Absolutely.

I have said nothing to the contrary.

maybe they didn't vote for them in the primaries, but when it came time to election, other policies were deemed more important, so that is why they voted the way they did
Ok, therefore they discarded their stances on other topics and threw their support behind the politician’s stances even though they aren’t their own.

Look, I agree with the simple concept that people vote solely on limited topics and not everything, because that would be impossible.

But I disagree with the idea that, because you voted in support of only certain topics that you consider more important than others, you somehow get to therefore distance yourself from the actions of the politicians you elect.

Our politicians are our representatives.

Their actions are therefore transferred to their supporters.

It’s time to bring the Whig party back, if you wear a toupee you’re invited to join as well

Absurd. We're a representative republic with a two-party system. You vote for the candidate that most aligns with your positions.
Agreed.

And you are forced to give up positions you may hold to vote for someone, or a party, and therefore support stances that are opposite to your own, since you deem them less important.

The only way to avoid this concept is to stop voting entirely.

Yes.

I have somehow gotten off the hook so far. Not one of the politicians I’ve supported has won yet and I didn’t vote in 2016.

Applying this thread's logic, you deserve everything negative that's coming because you live in this liberal country -- despite voting conservative -- so maybe you should move to another country.

Fine. You've used a broad enough brush to paint with that it's essentially meaningless. By your logic anyone alive who's voted for the winning candidate in a presidential election has blood on their hands of some sort. You've made your point irrelevant.

This is why I stopped voting for national elections. Neither the Rs or the Ds represent me or my beliefs, so I just refuse to vote for them for national elections, because despite what many think, national elections often have less impact on your lives.

I still vote for local elections, as those have the most impact on my day to day life

to say that, if I vote for someone that I agree with on 75% of issues, but disagree with 25% of the time, that I have to accept that 25% as my "beliefs" now, is absurd logic

I'm allowed to have my own beliefs

and so is Scruffy

And it's not even this thread, it's quite literally the logic he made in the same post.

Life isn't fair, and if you're over 18 you're asking for it. So he's stating he dislikes what our country is coming to, but this is what HE asked for.

You get what you vote for, and you deserve what you vote for.

I have no sympathy for people who vote for this shite, then complain when it affects them.

Right, but again, looking back to the OP, there are people whose property and lives are being destroyed who did NOT vote for that, and posters in this thread are saying too bad, don't feel sorry for you. And the OP is asking why, why are you rooting for THOSE people's cities to burn and lives to be destroyed...
