We all have ups and downs and out of whack hormones, but it doesn’t justify killing children. Who has time to be depressed or psychotic when you have to be a good wife and mother? I think some women cannot deal with the fact they are not the most important thing when they are married and have children.
I had 3 under 3 the year after we lost everything in Katrina, my grandma died, my dad died, and we lived in a one bedroom apartment with the rest of my family. I’m probably not playing with a full deck either but all of my six children are still here to laugh when I act like an arse.

The argument she was making was that men are more likely to kill people close to them. My counter is that women can be just as lethal when men are not the target.
Also saw this which makes a great point. All these women defending her wouldn’t be so empathetic and understanding if she had done it to their own kids:

Belle’s argument was that’s a stupid conclusion to make (repealing the 19th amendment) because of a few stupid women. Since there have been a few stupid men that have committed familicide - which familicide is usually committed by men - then all men should be sterilized.
She didn’t make the argument about men killing people close to them. Plus if you look at statistics - men and women kill their children at about the same rate. However, if one parent kills the child (children) while they are alone - it’s usually the mother (which is what your post with the tweet says) which if you think about it is pretty logical because usually the women are alone with the children more than men are

I only know one person who killed their kids. Well, shot all 3 kids and their spouse, spouse and one kid died, 2 kids survived. He was a man and he truly loved his family and was a good guy. He somehow just snapped and went crazy. It happens, apparently to both sexes. All i can think of is that they try to take their loved ones with them because in their messed up mind the world is so terrible they have to commit suicide and don’t want to leave their family behind in the world they think is so horrible.

None of it is an excuse for killing their loved ones, but if they didn’t know or had no control over what they were doing - it’s hard to punish someone for that.
