It's awful because, in my experience, a lot of the downside stays with the user after she wants/needs to get off the medication completely. This is one of the reasons I feel like it affects the brain's permanent wiring.
The two areas that I feel lead me to this conclusion are when you try to retrieve memories stored in the Adderall induced cloud it seems more difficult (most everyone's graduate schooling) and, again -- for me personally, I feel like my imaginative qualities to think outside the box have been significantly dampened.
You need medication. Not Adderall, but definitely some other medication that a psychiatrist would prescribe.

There's an interestingly increasing trend happening right now I've read a few articles on where businesses are hiring high GPA grads and finding out they can't do much outside of taking orders and data entry. They can't think creativity. They don't perform unless they're told what to do. I wouldn't be surprised if it's a symptom of the add overdiagnosis epidemic.
It's a new trend but people are beginning to notice.
This has nothing to do with medication. It's a result of the over-emphasis on GPA as a marker of intelligence and future performance. Students are fixated on GPA rather than learning.
