Does listening to hip hop mean that one is keen on the culture that it propagates?

There's a lot of different hip-hop with a lot of different messages. What you hear on the radio or at the club is what dumb dumbs listen to. Just like the bullshite "active rock" genre back in early 2000s. Limp Bizkit talking about packing a chainsaw and skinning your arse raw.

Only simpletons listen to that shite. There's a whole world of hip-hop that has messages besides money and bitches and drugs and guns. And, yes, there are intelligent minorities and poor people that listen to it.

Well, then, since this is such an important topic that you've clearly considered from every angle, perhaps you should start your crusade today.

You, sir...are a fricking hillbilly with money. You'll still be a yokel no matter how big of a house you have. Just remember that, Jethro.

All that for basically pointing out the fact hip hop is the music - and culcha - of the dumb.

I was just curious because I listen to some gangster trap shite and my lifestyle is about as opposite of that as one can imagine.

I do also listen to some of the "better" hip hop stuff that isn't mainstream stuff that plays on the radio. Logic (pre radio crap), Cole, Kendrick, etc...

"I don't understand something, so it's dumb"

That's the attitude of a petulant teenager.

If you knew anything about the history of hip-hop (you don't), and had shown even the faint hint of research, I'd be like "alright, man..I disagree with him, but the dude makes a decent argument."

Instead, you just toss out a lazy, insulting statement, like a YouTube comment troll...just trying to piss people off for...some reason. Here's you in this thread so far:

"Foreigners are stupid"
"Poor people are stupid"
"My taste in music is supreme"
"All hip-hop is violence and money"

You're like a caricature of a bad guy in a comedy movie. You're basically Judge Smails. Congratulations.

Props to you for putting forth the effort. The task of breaking down his fundamental idiocy is a bit overwhelming to me. Dude needs to get out of the trailer park once in a while.

I mean rockstar culture was appealing to young whites back in the 70's and 80's.

You whities didn't wish you were backstage doing blow and shoving a fish up Stephanie Seymour's gash? BULLLLLLL-shite!

Is this where we turn our history books back to the 1979 and discuss the genius of the Sugar Hill Gang?

I think violent rap ‘music’ has caused you to be angry.

IDK i havent either.

I always think it is funny when people bring up the "history of hip hop" and talk about it like it is some prestigious topic.
