People that own pits are morons, so you shouldn’t be surprised when they do or say stupid shite.

They’re just big babies.

Same reason democrats and BLM get offended by them.

Your friend is right and you guys that hate pit bulls are gay AF.

The douchebaggery evident in the OP and this thread is why I love my pets more than people. People fricking suck. Dogs are awesome. I would kill you to save my dog and not regret it for a second.

Why are Dallas Cowboys fans offended by facts?

Are there two different breeds of what is colloquially referred to as "pit bull?" I could be wrong, but I thought there was an American pit bull and a pit bull terrier or something idk. I've had people tell me that one (unsure which) is the one that is prone to aggression and the other isn't. Serious question, as I have no dog in the fight so to speak and like all dogs for the most part (but would get about 100 breeds before I considered a PB).
Edit: just googled it. I guess there is a pit bull terrier and an "American bully" my guess is bully means bulldog. Looked like the latter was the big muscular version. Still unsure which is the disenfranchised version.

It's really crazy. I have a friend, successful business owner, educated. Had one for years until it died of old age. He refuses to hear anything negative about the breed.

I have a college degree. Educated. Have a nice life with a wife. No kids yet.
I also own a pit bull mix. I didn’t actively seek out the breed. He was living around the school where I used to teach. I took him home as a puppy. 7 years later I can say he’s the best dog I’ve ever had. He’s been great around any kids that have been over here when we have get togethers. He’s great with our other dog, a border collie.
Sure, it’s a breed that has a high number of issues. I have a secure yard that’s gated. He’s an inside dog anyway.
Not sure what else to say. You don’t eradicate an entire breed based on some bad apples.

If you tell any other dog owner negative facts about their dog, like health issues, they'll accept it. But pit owners are just different...

We should start an inquisition against pit bulls. Start a group that offers money in exchange for pit bull pelts and half of the pit owners would turn quickly.

But that’s not the same

He also gets pissed when others tell him he can't bring the dog to their houses because of neighborhood rules.
It’s bad enough this walking shite stain owns one of these worthless dogs, but he expect to bring the damned thing with him when he goes to someone’s house? frick him.

Like a mandatory buy back program? So we can get rid of the assault dogs as well.

Except this one would be completely optional

And that “issue” just happens to be a tendency to seriously maim and kill small children. No big deal though, right?

If I was gonna get a protective strong type dog I'd get one of those caucasian Sheppards (cancelled?). But those thangs look like they could eat a pitbull no problem then serve as a pillow for the family.

Kinda like judging all bikers based off of the assumption they act like Hells Angels?
But seriously, my dog’s great. Don’t particularly care what someone else thinks. I never thought I’d be a pit bull owner, but I’m glad I stumbled upon this mutt.
