Much of the metal scene from Pantera onwards was less about musicality and conveying an emotional message and more about pushing the envelope of edgy “hardness”. Now, for a while, getting edgier was still possible while remaining somewhat musical. Eventually, though, the envelope was pushed so far that it is now impossible to be at the bleeding edge of the “heaviest” modern metal and also produce something musically pleasing to the ear. That’s why I get made fun of for listening to Alter Bridge and Four Years Strong instead of Job For A Cowboy and Cannibal Corpse.
Personally, I prefer lyrics that can be understood over pig squeals and grunts.

Tesseract

The Contortionist
Give some of those a try if you like metal/harder stuff that isn't just absurd with pig squeals.

Theres absolutely nothing worse than someone blaring rap music in public. I completely get it, and even like some of it, but has no place in public if you aren't at a club, pool party in vegas, sporting event, or obviously a rap concert.
That being said, I welcome all forms of music. If I don't like it, I will leave the room or put on headphones. I listen to it for me, not for everyone else.

People's identity can mainly consist of the music they listen to. The music defines them, so when you shite on Greta van Fleet you are conscientiously shitting on their ego.

I don't care what anyone listens to....just turn the shite down.
