I have seen a lot of protests and anger about a 5G tower in their neighborhood or in the area. What is the reason people are against it?

The amount of power they pump out.

The number of towers needed.

It’s a higher energy radiation wavelength.
And I’m not exactly sure of the details, but somehow it interferes with the signals used for offshore weather/hurricane data gathering (might be the same frequency used for that).

I think the towers are ugly and I don't see the point of it. I mean, you can stream full-motion video on 4G at much greater than HD quality. WTF are people trying to do that necessitates a new standard? Better to just improve 4G coverage.

From my understanding the higher frequency doesnt mean higher intensity. And the want for it is because it will let more phones connect to one tower, meaning you need less towers.

Not only the number of devices needed in a single block but the cameras with facial recognition. As soon as you walk out your house you’ll be tracked, your temperature taken, and every word out of your mouth recorded. This is FACT. Think of what the government can do with this. Order a beer ? Your health insurance goes up !

The towers have much shorter range, though.

Just one more thing to herd people into the urban feed lots, I guess. "Everyone huddle around this magic tower! You don't want to live with the hicks and their 4G!"

People have light poles in their front yards and nobody cares. They aren't any bigger or uglier than that. We have some in my neighborhood and I don't even notice them anymore.

It's much to-do about nothing.
