It's subconscious. People like seeing people who look like them.
To a white person, seeing a white person in a commercial is more effective than not seeing a white person. The more races you can squeeze into a commercial, the broader the appeal. It's as simple as that.

Seriously, I think it is only "normal" because when the world wasn't as small as it is today and people were living more tribal, they didn't really have much of an option as to who they could breed with.
It's not like they could take an uber to the next tribe, they had to pick from whatever opportunities they had.
There needs to be more interracial kids.. Eventually, that might bridge some type of gap between so much racism. And hot mixed race girls are hotter than single race hot girls.

It happens on the margins. If you're trying to squeeze as much impact out of your Tide detergent marketing budget as possible, picking a family that is all one race is simply not as efficient.
If people want to think there is some ulterior motive, go ahead, but there is a much more logical explanation.

You see...the inherent problem isn’t the single moms. The problem is that the kids grow up on the Gov dime thinking this is normal, and then have more fatherless kids to perpetuate the problem. If a higher percentage of adults were raised this way, a higher percentage of those adults will be dirtbags.

Eh, I think it's more of a move to head off the twitter outrage crowd or this is another example of companies using social media to steer their ad campaigns.

We've had multiple threads on this, and the answer is yes. Married middle to upper class families don't even have children at a rate required to replace them.
So, yeah, if you want more people to have the same values as you, you need to have more children. I'm serious.

Probably some truth to that too.
Hell, why are so many commercials showing families? Married couples represent less than 50 percent of US households today. Married couples as a whole are severely over represented in marketing ads.

I have sme black friends I hang with on occasion. One of them is someone I go shooting with quite a bit. So I don’t have a problem with black individuals.
However, - besides some of the food - I do not like modern black culture in general. Truth be told, my black buddies don’t like it either.

Nurture plays a role but not as large as you think. There's a reason why twins that are separated at birth and raised in totally different environments tend to be so similar. From their career and hobbies to style of dress and even down to the music they like and the brands of products they buy.
