Do you work in a hospital? If not then you have no clue how often we get exposed to it. It’s bad right now. It’s as bad as it was a few months in last year. With that being said I say keep everything open and people can choose whether they want to where masks or not.
What does it matter if you get exposed to it? Are you not vaccinated? If you work in a hospital, I know you’ve had an opportunity to get it. In fact you were given an opportunity to get it before the rest of us.
Also, if you work in a hospital, how is it you’ve noticed the number of cases going up but haven’t noticed fewer people are dying? Is that not the case at your hospital? Are y’all still having large numbers of people dying? If so, I suggest your doctors and nurses consult with other hospitals to see what they’re doing. I say that because everywhere else, they’re not having large numbers of death any longer.

I am generally aligned.
However, I think it is a bit cavalier and myopic to "go on with our lives" right now, given current context of its blasting off everywhere.
Resulting in stressing hospitals, affecting people closer to home like have not seen before, and at very least is nuisance of disrupting work and non-virus medical procedures (mine this past week) but at worst threatening not insignificant number of vulnerable people.
I am certainly for getting back to normal, but being so cavalier about it is creating anything but normalcy for too many.

B/c the people in power want to keep said power and they know a large portion of the population is fricking spineless and will do what they're told

None. No science what-so-fricking-ever.

Have you seen anyone with chicken pox lately? No, because we have a vaccine for that.
Yeah. But they don’t get to stay at hone with all their buddies (also with chicken pox) playing Nintendo all week.
Still remember the scenes of us jumping up and down all spotted after beating ninja garden for the first time 30 years later.

I’m vaccinated. A choice I made when my son was born in all this crap 8 months ago. So what I’ve noticed of this disease since it started is a lot of people get it. Few people get really sick from it but become hospitalized. Of those getting hospitalized a few end up staying in ICU for months. Few seem to die every month when the virus is bad. And right now it seems to be bad. Btw I never commented about people
Dying. Even though there are a few cases.

The media and local governments are pushing the fear about the variant.
LOTS of money to be made on the already available at home covid tests you can buy as well as potential boosters and or annual vaccines.
Big pharma does well. It can do even better if we make sure to inform and remind people delta and delta + are here.

Is if not death than all good? Sure, being hospitalized ain’t the worst thing but I sure as hell don’t want that either. Not worried about it myself because I got the DNA altering, infertility causing rushed vaccine and kinda laying low for the moment. People feel different though. Joe Rogans says we don’t need the vaccine if healthy (and we all know how well people on here interpret “healthy”) and I’ll gladly take advice from a guy who humps stools.

Which fully confirms that the intentions is to manipulate people when this emergency flops back and forth between cases and deaths to promote their hidden agenda

The fear comes because of a certain idiotic segment of society that refuses to get vaccinated and wear their mask.

Jesus, your family has some weak arse immune systems.
Did none of y'all get COVID in 2020?
Did none of y'all get the vaccine?
Are y'all fat as frick or what?
Everyone else went through what you are going through in 2020. Welcome to last year buddy.

This has never been about health or public safety.
This has always, only and ever been about control.

A man would have to be below 80 IQ to even think politicians and TV doctors (fauci and ilk are basically televangelists) are trying to protect anything but their own interests.

Some people weren't hugged enough as a child. So they are fricked up emotionally. This is bleeding over common sense situations

Things collectivists say.
Where you're wrong is that we aren't in this together. You live your life, I'll live mine and I don't give a rats arse if you worry about me being "cavalier."
The hive is always wrong. Every single time.

definitely a bit harsh, but to be fair the dude has 914 posts. i’m suspicious this actually happened. We’ve had some low post count posters appear in the last few weeks posting these gloom and doom stories. I’m not saying it’s not possible, it is.
