We should make it to the area around 4. We're hoping to park on the north side of the route around Pomodori Pizza. That gets us back on 190 headed north pretty quick.

Anything I should know about this parade? Any special events in that area for the parade?

This guy is a ball of fun. Go post about your failed marriage.

Eve is a great parade. The way Mardi Gras used to be. Lots of friends and family on the route. Good times and not having to worry about getting shot by youths on the route. Highly recommend.

It’s a great parade, along with Olympia the next day. We’ve got daughter number two due any day now.. otherwise I’d be taking the fam!

We should be somewhere around 527. Daughter usually hangs with friends closer to the Backpacker. That and Olympia will be the totality of my Mardi Gras.

Eve is the perfect parade for kids IMO. You can set up off the route and the flow of people is pretty open and cops all around. Long enough to be good without being overboard long.

They used to throw one bead at a time. Hopefully that’s changed.

However, this:

is true.

Eve used to be about 250 members and was an older crowd. Since COVID, they have blown up to around 700 members and are generally made up of a much younger member base. They throw and party pretty good. Not drunk Bacchus pelting you with cases of beads but fairly heavy volume and lots of good LED light up throws.

Good deal.

To be fair, I haven’t been since Covid.

Eve has been moved to Slidell. No need to come to Mandeville.

All female riders who barely throw anything. It's still fun to hang out at a parade however.

Olympia has sucked since the pandemic. Before the pandemic it was a pretty good parade.

Such BS. News reported the Krewe bought over $500,000 of throws this year. They aren't keeping all that shite. It's getting thrown into the crowd.

Get there early. They don't play with the barricades and traffic is usually shite on the way in. We've barely made it in the past few years leaving around 3. We're planning on leaving around noon this year and just killing time in Mandeville.

They don’t throw shite. I find that Eve throws a lot, Olympia riders do not.
