Y’all are seriously underestimating 1. The Grizzlies swipe of doom and 2. Their intelligence advantage. It’s like Spurrier in the 90s going against some random podunk .500 high school football coach in the 60s.

Any physical advantage that those animals have in terms of size is outweighed (no pun intended) by the grizzlies Paws of Doom and how much more skilled of a fighter they are. Hippos and rhinos have one or two moves and they would tire out before the Grizzly does.

Tigers have no chance in this fight. The moment a tiger launched up from it’s hind legs to square up, that bear would either slash that neck, bite that neck or slice that gut. Grizzlies and Kodiaks square up better than any other animals on land. The are the perfect fighters. The only reason why elephants would clean their clocks is the pure size difference and elephants use more tactics than these other animals.

You’re seriously underestimating the hippo. I don’t see how a Grizzly in any scenario could beat a hippo in a fight. Not one. Hippos kill more people than any other animal save for the mosquito. They’re an extremely violent, aggressive, and territorial animal. If you’re around Grizzlies in the salmon run, they’re probably going to leave you alone. There is not a scenario where the hippo will. Have you seen what a hippo looks like? A hippo would quickly crush and kill any bear that got within striking distance of it. And if they tire the hippo out, so what? It’s a fricking hippo. This is what they look like as a reminder:

Moose. Bears do not take the risk of getting injured. If bears could take down moose that easily we would not have any moose around here.

I’m under the assumption it’s an all-out fight to the death. I don’t blame brown bears for not taking on a bull moose if they don’t have to. They’re just trying to survive the easiest way possible, not find out who’s the biggest badass in Alaska. That’s for us humans with too much time on our hands to discuss.
