re: Who wins a street fight between a navy seal and a pro fighter

quote:Well little known fact is that MMA fighters always carry swords on them as part of who they are so the SEAL is gonna have to deal with a sword.
nd, like I said, the SEAL is going to be carrying a knife just as part of who he is. SO, if he's ready when the fight begins, Mr. MMA is going to have to deal with a knife. If he's ready for that, the advantage swings back to him.

Then, are you sure this is a street fight? Are you sure this isn't an MMA match?

Yeah well a seal is probably going to be packing, so the MMA guy is going to have to deal with a .45

Getting back to your retarded Huerta example.
It literally shows him stomping the football player (a guy with no fight training).
My point is that in a street fight there are no rules. There are no gloves (which makes a hammer fist worth a frick) and there is no ref saying you can’t do that.
The SEAL trains for life and death in the real world where there are no rules.
In a street fight the SEAL ends his life with or without a knife.
You sir are the retarded fan boy.

bullshite. They're nearly naked when fighting and training. So, swords are definitely NOT who they are.
Plus, you're just being petty and petulant. A "street" fight means you use whatever to come out alive. And a SEAL is far, far more prepared to do that in a real life or death fight than your MMA types. Now, I admit that MMA training is probably the most relevant for defending yourself only with your hands and feet, but there is always this problem with martial arts.
Everyone ALWAYS teaches their system is the best. You know what? It isn't. It is always about the fighter and not about the system. A great fighter wins - a great boxer can win, a great wrestler (real, not wrasslin') can win, hell, a great rikishi can win - depending on the circumstances.
Fights are won by the better fighter, not the better system - period.

I'm putting my money on the seal

Temporary thread hijack....how is Iron Mike going to beat Bruce when he’s dog arse tired from chasing him around trying to land haymakers?

I'm not reading all 8 pages of this but anyone who says the seal wins is a fricking retard.
Jocko willink, for example, is a former Seal commander as well as a BJJ blackbelt, and he often talks about how the pro fighters he's rolled with always kick his arse.
I swear to god some of the stupidest people on earth post on this site

If a SEAL is down to a one on one hand to hand fight, he has failed at his mission. So I would say the pro fighter wins.
Plus of the SEALs I know, most would not be one on one fighters. But they would look you before you knew what was coming.

Again...it’s a street fight with no rules except no weapons on their person.

I guess in this thread, there are rules. I'm out. It's late AF.

This makes absolutely no difference, provided that the seal doesn't have a gun. A pro fighter would have a seal on the ground before he could blink and it would be lights out in no time.
And the morons saying "seals are trained to kill" clearly know nothing about MMA. The difference between choking someone out and killing them is just a matter of seconds. If you occlude the carotids for long enough the person will die.

His point is that you are ignoring the parameters of the hypothetical.
quote:
. A "street" fight means you use whatever to come out alive.
A street fight means that there is no ring and typical "sporting" rules. It does not mean that you get to change the point of the hypothetical to be something completely different than what was asked so that you can move the goal posts of what is at the heart of the question to get your favored side an advantage. The question was "with no weapons," not "well one of the types really likes weapons so I'm going to give them to him anyway and completely change what is being asked."

Option C wins
Knuckle Checkin Baw has dropped Seals, Rangers, Marines, Cops, Tach Swat, MMA fighters, pro athletes, pro wrasslers, dads, truck drivers, tough guys, mechanics, and Billy.

The Seal. Yes the MMA guy trains to fight, but that training is exactly what gets him beat. They don't train to try and kill someone without hesitation.
There is a huge difference in training to beat someone up than trying to maim or kill them.

What if each did have the same exact blade on them?

Pro fighter.
I have a friend who used to be a weak little punk. He joined the Marines a decade ago and is a DI now. He impressed the hell out of me with his knowledge of takedowns. We drunken sparred and he beat my arse, lol.
What the hell does the military teach you? Didn't realize they learned so much hand to hand combat.
