Got a friend asking since there was an accident involving a light pole and transformer. Does this get charged to insurance or does the utility company send a bill?

Always heard if they can prove it, it goes to the vehicle that hit it.

His insurance will pay if his fault.

One of the first set of questions is “ was a light pole invoiced “ when you report to your insurance

So hope he has enough coverage....

Yah...his insurance will get the bill...as long as he has the appropriate coverage.

I was told it would be around a grand if I had had to pay for the one
I scraped, but that was in '74.
God luck!

Once had a judge (family friend) tell me he made the driver of car hitting it pay for it- in reference to DWI cases and driver hitting it.
