Any list without Sammartino isn't valid, in my opinion. Bruno headlined 211 times at Madison Square Garden during his time on top, and sold it out 187 of those times.
That's back when it was still a territory though.

You sure you don't mean The Hardtime Express? They were Crazy Joe (blonde) and John Saxon (good worker; could really bump). Joe was a user and had to have his leg amputated due to shooting up. Saxon is still wrestling to this day.

Correct. Just trying to show that his popularity was just as intense as anyone else mentioned. His drawing power kept the company thriving throughout the 60s and 70s.

It was Hardtime Express, from Rikers Island, NY. Yeah Joe told me and my buddy once "all I do if frick and wrestle" he had 2 chicks pregnant for him with about 3-4 other kids so I guess he was serious.

Yeah, I used to work with Saxon's girlfriend at the time. He used to write trivia questions and would see if I could answer them. I was in my early 20s at the time and he was always shocked at how much I knew. He really wanted to make it to WCW; he didn't care about WWE. He told me that he helped train The Rock in Florida (back when he was called Flex Kavana).

It's an interesting hobby. I used to work for Mid-South Wrestling Showcase (an attempted Mid South revival), as well as a columnist/moderator/reporter for a numerous websites, such as wrestlinginc.com, prowrestling.com, lordsofpain.net, and kayfabememories.com. I've met literally hundreds of wrestlers over the years. Sounds lame, I know. Don't care.
No, that sounds awesome actually.

Hogan - Stone Cold - Taker - Cena

WWE Rushmore:
Bruno
Hogan
Undertaker
HHH
I couldn't decide between rock and stone cold so I went with longer careers and selected HHH. He gets a bad rap at times but has reinvented himself many times over many factions. And frankly, a good heel is just as awesome as a good face. Very underrated.
Now, as or my favorites
Mankind/Mick Foley
Chris Jericho
Bret Hart
Dusty R
Bruno
Hogan
Undertaker
HHH

No, I worked as a writer/booker. Crazy thing was, I was like 21 and I worked for free because I was such a mark. Do you remember the Battle for the Bike or the tWo invasion? Probably after your time

Is Jim Cornette as hilariously miserable in real life as he is on his shoot interviews?
Posted on 4/6/17 at 10:07 pm to SCLibertarian
Cornette is a great wrestling mind... I guess the best way to describe him is a lovable loser. He has a great passion for the wrestling business, not just the entertainment business. Can be annoying at times but mainly because he's so into the product.

Yeah, like I said, this was in 97-98. I was also setting up a big card in conjunction with the Nicholls SGA, but I ended up quitting before it ever transpired.

I watch Cornette a couple of times a week and love hearing him chat about the business. His hatred of Russo, Kevin Dunn and Mark Madden is borderline unhealthy, but provides for a good laugh. Also his take on the movie The Wrestler had me rolling.

80s/early 90s kid in me says...
Hogan
Undertaker
Warrior
Savage
Real answer is probably more like...

Rock
Cena or Stone Cold

Kevin Dunn is a cancer.

Hogan
Austin
The Rock
Undertaker
Hogan and Austin are mortal locks for me. I might could be swayed on The Rock and Undertaker.
