I know one Ukrainian. Hates Communism. Escaped with his family at 12 but loves uber leftist progressivism.
He doesn't see the correlation and believes them to be mutually exclusive.
We just laugh. He is kind of all over the place politically. Fun guy though.

I went to 9th/10th grade with a kid who had just moved from the Ukraine. He was a pretty cool guy, I'm not sure what happened to him

Ukranian Abe Lincoln/World's Strongest Man Oleksii Novikov is on the list. Maybe top 5 or so. He certainly doesn't top your favorite, though.
ETA: I hope he doesn't have travel issues or is already out. He's supposed to be competing in the Arnold's in a week or so.

I stand firmly behind these Ukrainian women. Eastern European/Russian women are some of my favorites. Right behind Asians.
