My great grandmother also lived to her mid-nineties, and I just imagine being in her shoes and seeing transportation go from horse & buggy to seeing the space shuttle. Must've been mindblowing!

My great uncle was 101 and a half when he passed. He lived alone and was still active. He developed gangreen in his foot and that is what got him.

I knew a lady who was born in 1889. She died in 1991. She grew up in Oklahoma back when it was still a territory, and remembers attending statehood celebrations in 1907. Her husband was in World War I. Wonderful lady with wonderful stories.
