He posted on TD talking about how Charlize Theron was adopting a black baby. Apparently he was the judge dealing with the adoption and violated some regulations.
This caused an investigation in to his post history which involved plenty of racist/sexist post. He was suspended from the bench and it was national news.
As investigation into his tenure as judge continued he recieved criminal charges for accepting bribes. He is now in prison.

no no. he withdrew from an appellate court campaign and went back to his old job

this was unrelated to the TD stuff, but THIS is what made him lose that judgeship
