Jessica Simpson, Nick Lachey, Ashlee Simpson and her bf came up and asked if they could sit at our booth, it was just my GF and I. It was at a dive bar on St. Pattys day back in like 2004 or 2005 and the place was packed. They were really cool and we got hammered for a few hours. She was SMOKING hot back then and we talked a lot about sex, masturbation etc. Good times!!!

He was sitting with his gf/wife and noticed a little kid at the table next to him kept staring at him. He got up from his meal, introduced himself to the parents, and asked if it was cool if their son came and ate with him. They agreed and he sat there chatting with this 10 year old boy for a good 30 minutes while they ate their dinner.
It's still the coolest thing I've seen a famous person do.

I was watching a band at the Howling Wolf and made fun of a guy for looking like the lead singer for Great White...turned out it was really him.
Also ran in to Ken Ober at Jazz Fest in the Miller Beer tent during a storm.

No but I wanted to! We were discussing if thinking about someone other than your SO was cheating. My SO and Jessica thought it was, everyone else thought it wasn't.

One of the nicer aspects of living in Ireland was being able to see relatively famous people out and about town, without them being buried by crowds of people.
When Bono was home, he'd shop at the same Marks& Sparks as we did; it would be a little surreal on a Sunday morning shopping trip, to be standing in a checkout line, hungover, and realize Bono was looking at himself in a tabloid, waiting to check out, just ahead of you.
Liam Neeson participating in a pub trivia contest, as a fill in for my shorthanded team was pretty good-- and he's way up on my list of 'smart celebrities' after that experience.
I recognized some of the other members of U2 (no, I don't know them by name), around and about Dublin. I met Daniel Day Lewis when he was working as carpenter- despite having a few Oscars under his belt. That dude is legitimately weird.
Sam Neil, I sort of met- the sort of 'This is Sam, Noel, and Liam...' group meeting thing. Gabriel Byrne weaving his way down the alley with two girls half his age was a funny sight, albeit not a meeting.
In the world of sports, during the Irish hosted Ryder Cup, an extremely drunk at midday Bob Ryan asked me for directions to his hotel- which was directly across the street and behind him, with 8 foot tall letters spelling out its name. I have never approached Bob Ryan in Dublin drunk-- it has to be as close to alcoholism distilled into a moment as I can ever remember seeing.

Sat across the aisle from Jackie Slater on a flight from SNA to PHX. Had a great time talking football with him. Super quality dude.
Played golf with Scott Phillips (Creed).
Played pool with Harry Waters (Roger's son). He just introduced himself as Harry and I didn't find out until months later who he was.

I was eating dinner at a steakhouse in Indianapolis the weekend before the Indy 500 several years back, and we were in a side room. It was pretty late and it started emptying quickly. Soon it was us and one other table that was obviously having a pretty great time. They all looked nasty though. There was a blonde that had dirty hair, no makeup, ripped jeans and a see through shirt with a black bra on. I remember thinking she seemed out of place in this nice restaurant. I went to the bathroom and as I was washing my hands she came in and started looking in the mirror...I realized it was Kate Hudson. The rest of the table was the black crowes, they were in town to perform at the race.

Shelby Foote on a flight from DC to Gulfport.
I told him I like his books, he said thanks.
Sting was a nice guy.
Nicki Sixx was loaded out of his mind.

Are you female or did she walk in the men's room?
Also, was it the place with the famous shrimp cocktail? Can't ever remember the place even though I eat there every time I go up.
