Played on the team with him. He was a year younger. Happy for the guy.

I give no fricks about someone being focused and “an a-hole.” You hear that stuff all the time about guys who don’t sign autographs or acknowledge fans. How you are supposed to do that AND stay focused enough to perform at an elite level is beyond me.

BUT when you are accused of cheating and theft? That’s a whole different issue. Cheating in golf is so beyond the pale that anyone definitively caught should be banned from tournament play for life. After all, golf is the only sport where you are expected to call penalties on yourself. As far as theft from a teammate, that doesn’t need to be discussed.

She used to hang around a girl one of my friends used to bang and would come out with us and tailgate with us sometimes. She was...weird. And that’s putting it nicely. I read about her having his parents thrown out of a tournament and that sounds about par for the course.

LOL

This reminds me of an old adage: "As long as there's money or women involved, there's gonna be cheating and screwing"

frick the haters. Rickie Fowler wears a flat brim and yellow pants and people like. Priorities are way screwed up. Reed gets shite done, doesn't want or need to hang out with the other golfers, so who gives a frick?

He was clearly heard saying: "Nice f****** three-putt, you f****** f****t."

While I don't like him and I'm not defending him, in fairness, everyone sounds like this cussing at themselves after a three-putt

Wait, so we're supposed to hate Rickie because of his clothes but overlook Reed's character because he's good? And our priorities are screwed up?

Absolutely.....Golf is loving this. If Reed continues to do well, he can make TV golf interesting like Tiger does.

I think it's interesting that no one will go on record (at least not that I've seen) in first person with the cheating and theft allegations.

Perhaps his teammates disliked him enough to try to trump up charges against him. At the same time, given his intensity and competitive streak, it's not hard to imagine that he'd cheat if he thought he had the opportunity to get away with it.

Either way, nobody's perfect.
