I had to get a temp colostomy bc I was gonna loose my arse if I kept living like I was.
They removed 8 inches of my colon and sewed it back together but to no avail... I ended up with a bag and I have had zero problems at the bottom.... I had 14 surgeries... 12 involving the rectum... I have zero control down there anymore... Humira had been great until Sunday when I started hurting down there,,, Going to Doctor Thursday... Pretty nervous....

My dad has been on it forever and he would be crippled without it. I do believe humeria coupled with a new medicine he has to take has caused him to bleed excessively at anything and everything. His arms are fricking disgusting giant scabs. But otherwise, he's fine

14 surgeries, frick! I've had only 6 and I'm about done with this shite. Thank God for pain pills and anesthesia.
Hope all goes well Thursday.

My immune system was over the top until my colon started leaking into my abdemon and developed a softball size lump of infection.... My BP dropped to like 64/35.. I was as close to death as I could be.. The doc said if I had waited just two more days I would have died.... Now my immune system is horrible.... This shite takes away a lot of stuff from you... But at least I am alive and can function somewhat normal.....

If they give you those damn suppositories tell them to shove it up their own arse!

I'm on Cimzia. It's expensive as hell and I have to go to the doc's office once a month to get the shot, but the nurse has a nice arse and bends over a lot.
Helps with the arthritis, but if I'm in the same building as someone with a cold, I'm getting it. It's not a miracle cure-all, but life's better with it.
ETA: I take it for RA.

Good luck dude.
Houston removed my colon and rectum and built me a j pouch with my small intestine.
For years they treated me as crohns until this surgery. They were able to diagnose me as UC and do the pouch instead of the bag... For now...
I feel your pain bro. I hope things are well and you have a jam up doctor.
If not check out dr. Alberto Barroso at Methodist Houston....
Man that guy with the surgeon Randolph Bailey saved my life. No shite.

My doc almost started me on it when we thought Remicade had stopped working, but i put the kabash on it, bc I could tell the Remicade was still working. One year after upping my dosage and frequency, still good...
Fingers crossed it stays that way, because as someone said, there aren't many auto immune meds out there, I need to reserve all I can for when Remicade quits working. Next stop, Humira.
Zero side effects, nearly total flare control with Remicade for me, my uncle took it for a few years and had to switch to Humira bc it quit working. He's taken it for years with no serious effects, but they monitor blood panels often.

You baws with Crohns, I have had joint pain and lower right ab pain for years. Dr was like, bet you have Crohns. Went up the butt with a scope, but said he didn't see any thing. Was it difficult to get a proper diagnoses? Feels like a little pipe by my belly button swells. shite is painful, and the runs get old.

Blood work and I MEAN DEEP BLOOD work is what helped them with me....... At 1st they said IBS, but change it to Crohns because of the symptoms near rectum..........

This is strange... Never heard of that involving Crohns.... Get ather opinion....
