I volunteered to be hypnotized at a show. After just a little bit he came over and said "you can go sit down".
Apparently hypnosis doesn't really work on me.

I was called on stage at Grand Casino Gulfport by a comedian called Anthony Cools. He had Eric “Butterbean” Esche up there with us. I was legit hypnotized. The dude had us fricking chairs on stage, running around the crowd like monkeys. It’s hard to describe it, I knew what I was doing but did it anyways.

That’s about as convincing as it gets

Later he told them they were naked
Chicks were picking up folding chairs and trying to use them to cover up.
They were completely embarrassed. The whole show was funny AF.

He had a show in Vegas for a while, I never saw it but from what I heard it was along the lines of what you said…. Very R rated
I don’t know how they could have a show run in Vegas for a couple of years and have each and every show be fake
It just baffles me how all that shite works

Went to one at funny bone around 2010's. Volunteered to get on stage with 15 other people. Of course had to do the whole get us to go to deep sleep routine, I was awake the whole time going along with it. He brushed up against my knee and I thought he caught me faking it and I proceeded to stand up and go back to my seat, he told me no,no, your hypnotized, sit back down. Pretty much went with the whole skit and danced the thriller dance in front of crowd. The bad thing was the bucket of beer I ordered, went to my friend's as I was on stage. After the show, people came up to me believing it was all real. Told them straight up the truth. So no, I don't believe it's real and people go along with it.

Many years ago, and it was bogus. I went through hypnotherapy decades ago and it was very helpful, so I volunteered. I was hypnotized-so that part was legit-but they whispered what to do and I shook my head no. You don’t do something hypnotized that you wouldn’t do otherwise. It’s a heightened state of relaxation.

I saw Anthony Cools in Tunica around 2000. I was laughing so hard... he had grannies up there doing deep throating and cupping the balls motions.

shite. Man if that had happened I would’ve paid the hypnotist to teach me.

I have never seen a hypnotist show but a friend did participate in one... A few friends went to New York a while back and went to see a show. They were drunk and one of them got on stage... This guy has false front teeth and he would drop them in front of us but never in public. He got hypnotized and his teeth feel out in front of a packed house... People were howling and he doesn't remember anything about it...

I was hypnotized once and all I remember is being told to go to sleep. Next thing is I remember thinking it was just a second later and nothing happened. So, yes I do believe hypnosis is a real thing.

We had this at my prograd. I remember it being funny and very believable

Went to one a couple years after hs graduation. One of the girls pulled on stage graduated with me and was a drama kid who was very active in local acting troupes. I'd imagine every one up there was a member of an troupe.

I saw one and the only thing that had me thinking maybe it was real was the fact that the hypnotized people never laughed at any point during the ridiculousness. He chose them out of the crowd at a college and if it had been pre-planned, I think some of them would have broken character, so they were either hypnotized or he planted damn good actors in the crowd.

Me. They had one at AAA or whatever it was in late 90's. was hilarious.

I’ve seen the dude in Vegas. It is real in the sense that some people - if willing - are able to be hypnotized. The guy even said from the outset that it’s not magic and you can only hypnotize the willing. Pretty wild to watch though.

Saw one in 1992. Freshman year of college.
It was hilarious. I was sitting near people who knew the students. They said there was no way it was staged.
The hypnotist would catch people faking/giggling and say "you're not under, you can leave the stage".
It was really very funny and fun. I had never seen anything like it.

I got called onto the stage at the Funny Bone circa 2021. I was stone cold sober and really didn’t want to do it but I went along with it. It was an awful experience bc I was sober. Had to strip to my drawers and dance around the crowd. I was not hypnotized at all.
