Still play with a Fairway wood (3), probably from the mid 80s

Situational club. Like hitting it off intermediate cut. Location rather than distance. I might could get 200 if it was downhill and dry.

That said, it is what I learned to play with so it is nostalgia as well. Plus is just sounds awesome.

I have old Billy Barrough to use on really important putts.

Never let me down.

Still hit my 8 degree Biggest Big Bertha. Everyone on the tee always makes fun of me until I get up there and bomb it way past them. You can have top of the line clubs but if your swing sucks then it doesn't do you much good.

The rest of the bag is upgraded though.

I just ditched my 1996 RAM Fx2 irons two weeks ago. Getting older and they were wearing me out. Got a great deal on a set of TaylorMade irons.

I remember people playing DCI's for the longest time.

I played Ping Eye2 Red dots from 1994-2002

DCI's from 2002-2013

Currently have AP2 710's

I actually hit the DCI's further than the AP2's but couldn't work them as much.

I still have an old set of DTR's, they came before the DCI's. I still use an old Taylor made Ti Bubble 2 driver and 3 wood. Doesn't go as far as the new clubs, but I get it out there far enough and always in the short cut.

ETA, don't play the DTR's, use Callaway X18 irons. Sold my Apex irons about 10 years ago, wish I didn't.
