I legit lol’d when I saw the post about the first XX people who get Covid tested at the Box get a coupon for a value meal.

Why are they encouraging people to get tested for Covid if they have 0 symptoms? They don’t suggest you get a flu swab just for the hell of it.

Yeah I see what you are saying, but when you have the flu you definitely feel sick and aren’t generally out giving it to others unless you are just a complete dumb arse.

I agree.

What I’ve said all along is that this virus effects people in different ways. Some have very mild symptoms or none at all. Some people WITH OTHER HEALTH ISSUES tend to have the worst of it. This can be said for many seasonal viruses.

One positive I think is hard to argue no matter how you see the situation is if one knows they are positive they can make an extra effort to avoid contact with people who have a high likelihood of a poor outcome.

Someone that tests positive might avoid their grandparents for a period of time for example.

Is your contention that the flu is far worse than China Virus?

You are correct of course

I refuse to test. I encourage other people to also skip testing if they are feeling fairly ok. Just isolate if you aren’t feeling right. Being a statistic is stupid.

If testing goes down, new cases will go down. This is the way to end the Covid shutdown.

Stop testing those who are not showing symptoms!

Period of Contagiousness

You may be able to spread flu to someone else before you know you are sick, as well as while you are sick.

People with flu are most contagious in the first 3-4 days after their illness begins.

Some otherwise healthy adults may be able to infect others beginning 1 day before symptoms develop and up to 5 to 7 days after becoming sick.

Some people, especially young children and people with weakened immune systems, might be able to infect others for an even longer time.

Yeah, unless I have a fever and am hacking up a lung, nobody’s sticking a footlong Q-tip up my nose. You can keep the Quarter Pounder w/ cheese.
