Looks like onions, pickles and jalapenos on his brisket sandwich…never heard of that in my life.

I had never heard of it either until I got one at a local place in Sweetwater, Texas. One of the locals said that was the way almost everyone did it out there. When in Sweetwater...it was good.

I've noticed at the Buc-ees in Auburn there there is a place where you can pick up some onions, BBQ sauce, jalapeños, and pickles to add to your sandwiches or tacos. Works on the turkey sandwich too.

'it's normally set up on a condiment bar as opposed to being served on the sammich, there are some places around here that serve their brisket sandwiches with cold slaw on them

The best BBQ - by far - that I’ve had in BR is a Hole-In-The-Wall kind of place called Smokey Watson’s off Greenwell Springs Rd. Love their ribs, and the brisket is melt-in-your-mouth.

Could be amazing. Could be meat smoked with pressure treated pine. Probably not much middle ground between those two options.

Scott's in Hemingway. It's about 20 miles or so from Andrews. Cooper's Country Store in Sellers is another good place. It's about 18 miles from Andrews.

I live for sketchy food spots like that.

Best burrito and horchata I've had in my life was in some hole in the wall Mexican joint in Kentucky of all places.

i think he may be referencing the Silver Moon that was in the North Gate outside of LSU back in the early to mid 2000’s?

Best BBQ is found where the cook is an old black man wearing a sauce-stained wife-beater and a dirty apron.

I’m aware.
I believe he’s referencing two separate places: his new shithole in Harris County, TX and Silver Moon.

So do I

well, technically I have for 17-18 years. All over. Midtown, Washington St, Upper Heights, North Spring, and now outside of Harris County, but barely.

I’ll give you one to try: Rosemeyer BBQ off 99. the OG La Cocina de Roberto off of Sawdust is also the best TexMex in Houston IMO.

Did you ever try Moontower Inn on the East side of Downtown? Used to be incredible

It doesn't have to be fancy to have good food. I got a great pulled pork plate at a farmer's market one time
