Who Doesn’t Enjoy A Good Dad Joke

Had a good one early today while filling up at a gas station in the middle of nowhere just south of Gatlinburg, TN. Went inside to pay but didn’t see anyone behind the counter at first. Couple minutes go by and a woman comes out from the back with a very displeased look about her. While I’m checking out she’s just in a total sour puss mood so I ask how’s her day going. She rips off into this miserable story about how the temp in the freezer room for the sodas got too low over night and a shite load of cans exploded making a mess of everything in their path. I reply, *with a shite eating grin* “Guess that’s why they call them soda pops.” She just stared at me with a blank look for few seconds then cracked a smile with a chuckle. Felt like I brightened her day up even just a little bit.
