It will all be documented. Damn near everytime a screw is turned on an aircraft it has to be logged.

The record keeping in aviation is insane.

documented maintenance and record keeping soon to be labeled racist

muh DEI boogeyman.

Well we all do know that causation does not equal correlation, but we are posting in a thread with a catastrophic failure that led to a plane crash.

You know what, you’re right! It’s probably nothing, engines fall off of planes all the time.

I found at least 8 instances of it happening pre DEI so it's not unprecedented.

I heard the same about the heavy check, and I also heard that that particular flight was delayed due to maintenance on that particular engine, too

I do not know if it was that engine, but I also heard the flight was delayed ~3 hrs due to engine issues prior to attempting to take off. I don’t know how much pressure they put on the ground crew and flight crew to take off rather than ground the flight for extended maintenance, but people need to lose jobs for this one.

The story got twisted. The initial problem aircraft had to be unloaded and a new tail# loaded in those few hours.

The initial problem aircraft wasnt the one that crashed. You cant do a major repair in 2 hours.

I believe N258UP or N260UP was the initial problem aircraft and N259UP was the jet that crashed.

If only the Department of Transportation had a unit... nay, a bureau focused on safety, that could look into these questions

The only engineering that was used under the Biden administration was social engineering. Social engineering and aircraft maintenance don't mix well together.

In theory this could happen, but not in the short amount of time a takeoff takes. Supposedly, there was heavy maintenance done recently and I'm guessing bad maintenance practice along with critical component failure are the culprits.

My father was one of the top aircraft accident investigators in his day. He had noted a rash of problems in the base Huey fleet. He caught the maintenance crew sleeping on the night shift and falsifying the reports.
