Who determines whats "essential".

I work for Turner. What we do is not essential in any way, these businesses arent just gonna close up shop unless theyre made too.

I work in estimating for a subcontractor. Our VP just told another estimator its business as usual.

You mean you did work for Turner. With that attitude you are getting terminated when you show back up Wally. Doesn’t turner work in Refineries and Chemical plants up and down the river? They are essential so I would assume someone who supported them would be also. Clearly they don’t need you specifically based on you statements.

All projects that are not critical to production are being pushed back. Turnarounds and such are being pushed back.
He's right. Contractors are not allowed in facilities unless it's critical or emergency repair.

I’m no where near ‘essential’ but my boss was somehow able to secure a letter from the governor’s office here in CA saying that I’m essential and to show the police if I get pulled over for being out in public.

We got two letters. One saying We are exempt for the shelter in place and one that show exemption for any curfew put in effect.

My liquor store in Nashville expanded their hours after “shelter” announcement fiasco.
