I went to one. Actually I think its the only one I was invited to thankfully. I really didn't want to go, but I was going to go, show my face and give an Irish goodbye..
When I arrived, the chairs was set up in a huge circle. Next thing I know, they are about to open gifts and the whole party sat around and watched so it was kind of hard to just casually leave. It took them almost 2 hours to unwrap gifts because they would open one, oooo and aaa over it, talk about it, etc, etc then open another. It was unfrickingbelievable to me.
So pretty much, the women talk about shite and enjoy the whole thing.. But now they want the men to go to watch them sit around just waiting for the first chance possible to get the frick out of there?

I am lucky because my wife hates baby showers. She doesn’t even go to them much less asking me to go, even though I wouldn’t go anyway if she did.
