I thought there were beliefs that a volcanic eruption helped the Bronze Age collapse.

Meanwhile in the British Isles, people were building boats that were both big and complex. Take a read about the Ferriby boats, found in bogs on the eastern coast. Far more complex that the hide-covered boats that many folks identify with that time period.
There used to be a good exhibit about then at the British National Maritime Museum, but they removed it for a centennial exhibit and then dumbed down the whole museum so that children might get interested.

I don’t know what you are talking about. Boat shown on the Heraklion Vase is just as complex
The Egyptians weren’t making hide bound boats.
The Argo is just as complex.

A boat sinking in a bog is called a log.

The Minoans preceded this period a little. Their culture had collapsed a few centuries prior. The remnants were on its last legs, or had already been completely absorbed into Mycenaean Greek culture by this time.
Plus, they were well known to the Egyptians and others in the region through trade. There would have been more specific accounts of the attackers if they were well known.
It was probably not a single people or culture. For example, the Greek & Aegean cities destroyed might have been a result of conflict between those cities, and subsequent invasions by others seeking to take advantage of their weakened state. Egypt might have dealt with completely separate invaders.

Possible Celtic Tribes? Galicans of Northern Spain came from the Asia Minor Area of Galatia mentioned in the Bible. I know Celtic is a general term for hundreds of tribes but it could have been several Celtic Tribes that came out of Asia minor and Macedonia areas who shared a similar language.
