Sounds like the only people who drink Bud are the people in the commercials.

My point earlier was that most quality brewers use all grain brewing techniques, whereas Bud & co. uses malt extract from malt barley, which is already factory processed. It's a lower quality beer that is easier to manufacture, hence my McDonalds comment.

I'm always amazed by the Beer snobbery.

It is universally acknowledged that beer is an acquired taste.

Doesn't it make sense to acquire a taste for a relatively cheap and common one?

Why would you go out of your way to develop a taste for something expensive and hard to find?

it makes no sense.

You buy all your clothes at goodwill? Eat dinner at the soup kitchen?

Does it really not make sense to you that some people prefer higher quality when it comes to certain goods?

It sort of depends on why i am drinking

If i am looking to get drunk throughout a long hot day, Bud Light is a good way to go .

If i want to enjoy a bear to two and drive home i go for something that tastes a little better (or more like something)

Its a solid Quantity over quality beer.

Just the opposite. Bud is much harder to get the 'right' taste as its a much lighter flavor than dark beers.

i am willing to try anything, but the taste of microbrews never resonate with me. I like budweiser, it is my favorite. i don't care what other people drink, if it tastes good to them and they are happy then I am 100% in their corner. I'm just not sure why the beer snobs get their panties in a wad because people don't like the same thing they do.

ll drink it but it's not my my #1 go to. I prefer something with a stronger flavor. They spend the most on advertising during the Super Bowl yet I really never see anyone drinking it.

Because they think it makes them look 'cool'? Same type of folks drink starbucks, shop at whole foods, drive jacked up 4x4s that never leave the pavement, talk loudly on their cellphones, etc. You get the picture. Idiots comes to mind. lol
