What would "escorting" them out look like IRL?
quote:Shel311 just described how that will look for the board.
Maybe shel311 will describe how that will look for the board

And feel free to use emoticons if that'll help your thought process.

You're the one saying we should just let them do whatever they want. Not me.

Would it be different if she were a paid security guard?
Nope. A security guard should never feel the need pull a little 9 year old girl by the hair to get her out of a pool or pour a soda on a little 11 year old boy's head or slap him in the face b/c the guard is mad the kids keep sneaking into an apartment complex pool.
quote:
These kids clearly weren't even going to leave when she poured things on them and dragged them by the hair, so...what's the answer? Surely you have one, right? Clearly, "escort them out" didn't work.
You take them by the hand, walk them out of the pool area, take them to your office, and call the cops to come pick them up. It's not that hard. They are 9 and 11. It's not like they can fight you off.
Also, nice try at ignoring that YOU think the answer is to pull a fricking gun on them b/c you are apparently so scared of the world you think a 9 and 11 year old trying to use a pool might somehow harm you.
It's bad enough that so many here think using violence on two small kids is the correct way to get them to leave a pool but your stupid arse wanting to bring a fricking gun into the situation takes the God damned cake. You're a massive scared arse bitch to think that's the answer to this situation.

According to the link this was done and they were still there.
So who should be tasked with physically removing them since they declined to respond to verbal directions?
Again, this isn't hard. It's a 9 year old girl and a rail thin 11 year old boy. You take each one by the hand, walk them to the office, and call the police to come take them home.
Yanking a little girl by the hair, dumping soda on the little boy, and slapping him is a pathetic weak arse response.

What is frustrating about instances like this, and the riverboat fight in Montgomery, is that these will be framed, and used as evidence of some kind of national racial tension when in reality it is just assholes that don't know how to act, and it has nothing to do with some kind of endemic race problem. Its just nasty people acting ugly.

Nonsense, I said earlier in this thread that she could have thrown a toaster in the pool.

Are you capable of expressing what "escorting" them out will look like IRL? Can you do that?
I'm not saying her actions were justified. I'm just refuting the silly notion that they were gonna follow her verbal directions to leave when they had already demonstrated they weren't going to or that she could "take" them by the hand and lead them out.
Posted on 8/7/23 at 11:52 am to AlwysATgr
quote:No, neither can you. It's a literal fact that neither of us know what that would look like.
Are you capable of expressing what "escorting" them out will look like IRL? Can you do that?
One of us can pretend they know, but they'd be doing just that, pretending.
And i'm not sure that it's relevant anyway. If she tried and they refused, that doesn't change or make her actions justified so it's an irrelevant exercise attempting to guess at what might have happened since it doesn't justify what she did.

Should never hit a kid.
Better option would be to toss a couple of baby ruths in the pool.

Despite posted signs stating "no trespassing" and that residents are the only ones allowed to use the pool, Jennings said the child had been there before, on multiple occasions and was told to leave. She apologized and said she regrets her actions. "The other day, when he was out there, we asked him to leave, and he was mouthy, and I just, I had a soda in my hand, and I tossed it on him, and then I popped him. I did, I admit I did, and it was wrong. When you've done it and you've done it and you've done it and you've asked him not to come back," said Jennings. "I just reacted. But, I will say that I'm sorry that I did that. I should've handled it differently."
quote:
Jennings says the owners of the complex are supporting her after the incident. Residents of the apartment complex said that Jennings has never given them any trouble and they felt the children disobeying her request to leave was "disrespectful."

Grandma got tired of dealing with them as well.

Grandma allowed them to go to the pool because it's literally right in the next complex through the field, less than a two-minute walk," said Robert Lee-eury.

video of police escorting the kids out of the pool would have the same result on the low IQ viewers.

What about the pulling up by the hair to get girl out of pool? Has there been any admittance of this or a video of it released yet?
Also, Have father and grandmother admitted that the kids shouldn’t be pushed to trespass or swim in a pool without an adult guardian present?
Or maybe to
quote:
As for the vandalism that was found on the apartment's shed, Jennings said that was discovered on Saturday and she plans to file a police report in the coming days.

Step 1: stay calm and keep your hands to yourself. you're the adult.
Step 2: ask the kids "Where are your parents?"
Step 3: tell the kids "You not allowed to swim here. Come out of the pool, and give me your parents phone number, or I'll need to call the police."
Step 4: call parents / police / both
