Here's a better idea. He brought it because he knew he was in black neighborhoods and was afraid for his life.
That's an equally dumb assumption like the ones you just put up but at least this one is based on crime rates.

Well, by applying for a permit, they are simply proving that there are, in fact, gun control laws.
Also, if every black guy 18-35 applied for a permit, there would be a ton of crimes solved just by using the application-mandated fingerprinting.

I beg to differ. If that happened we could unite under a common goal, understanding of the 2nd amendment and the content of our character rather than identify ourselves in separate groups simply by the color of our skin.
