Which was worse for Star Wars: Jar Jar Binks or midiclorians?

Both really turned people off, but in your opinion which was the biggest mistake? The annoying as hell character of Jar Jar Binks or the concept of midiclorians being behind the force?
To me it's the midiclorians, the force should have remained a mysterious force tapped into by Jedis and the like. The idea of these microscopic cells being behind it was stupid and completely unnecessary.
I'm a hard sci-fi guy, any element of fantasy introduced into a sci-fi book instantly turns me off, no magic or the like. I hate Star Wars and especially hate seeing it lumped into sci-fi by the media who knows nothing of real sci-fi, Star Wars is a fantasy book set in space. That said, the force should have remained fantasy. Trying to explain it via "plausible" methods kills the mystery behind it and degrades the story imo.
Jar Jar was a stupid character that never should have been in the story, but the midiclorians ruined the magic of the force which was essential to the entire essence of Star Wars. You can look past Jar Jar, you can't look past midiclorians.

Jar Jar is a great Sith Lord

Jar Jar isn't even the most annoying Star wars character, and the midiclorian thing wasn't that big of a deal.

The force had to have some type of explanation.
Jar Jar is an abortion of thought.

That's fricking stupid, the Force did have an explanation. And that explanation was mysterious and thought provoking like Taoism. Then the prequels came in and re explained it like Scientology, convoluted bullshite from a hack sci-fi writer.

Because it ruined the story completely (as bad as the story already is).
I love your MST3K pic in your sig btw.

No it didn't. Obi Wan "explained" it to Luke saying it was an ever present force throughout the universe created by all living things. They should have left it st that. Instead the dumbass writers decided to make this all powerful force created by frickin bacteria.

I never watch the prequels, I go as far as to not count them as true canon. I can see them being rebooted one day. Maul was my favorite part, the fight & score.

Best sci-fi puppet show ever created imo. Was watching the legend of boggy creek 2 earlier. Growing up to it, the show molded my weird sense of humor.

Goddamn right I'm rustled. I'm melting, my jimmies are rusted, whatever you want to call it. The mitoclorians are the worst things to ruin a good movie in the history of movies. It's worth getting rustled over.

And whenever I see lists of top sci-fi this or that, or any time the media touts Star Wars as sci-fi I swear it gets my blood boiling. Star Wars is fantasy, and fantasy shouldn't be lumped in with sci-fi. Hell if you go to Amazon the link brings you to Sci-fi/Fantasy. That makes no sense, it's two totally different things. It's like the link saying Murder Mysteries/Westerns or something.
Fvck Star Wars and especially fvck the dumbass writer who though midiclorians (and Jar Jar) were a good idea.

I consider Star Wars to be episodes 4-6.
The rest of the episodes including Rogue One are simply abominations.
